History

Founder and C.EO, David Hughes founded G.W.S In the summer of 2010.   Mr. Hughes is an American born linguist, foreign language professor, Spanish Teacher and Entrepreneur. During his adolescence, he moved from South East, Washington D.C to Prince George’s County where he was introduced to a world of diversity. He was later encouraged to learn Spanish by his close friends from Central America. He later traveled abroad to Honduras, México and even Brazil during his academic career.  He attended the prestigious university called, El Tecnológico de Monterrey, in the city of Querétaro México.  He quickly realized his “gift for learning languages” during his stint in Mexico where he attended regular university courses and worked as a Foreign Trade Intern in the Chamber of Commerce in the Foreign Trade Department. Upon his returning to the United States, Mr. Hughes began to work as a “Technical Translator” for Globalink, Inc.   

Through a myriad of other key corporate experiences, he amassed an acute skill to synthesize information and translate it quickly.  He took this skill and became a “Spanish Interpreter Intern” at the Hudson County Court, in Hudson County, New Jersey, while in graduate school.  He perfected his skills performing various types of interpreting in a various diverse mediums. These included court and communal interpreting, and occasionally aiding in some insurance cases and car accident cases. 

This eventually matriculated into Mr. Hughes tapping into his passion to teach other corporate businessman English and Spanish. He was later given the vision, through his spiritual encounter with Christ, to share his gift to provide “everyone” the opportunity to join the world of “bilingualism.”   Since then, G.W.S has served many individuals over the years equipping them with the necessary language and cultural solutions to thrive in this modern day world where these solutions are critical in advancing any company, professional and/or organization in the twenty-first century.  GWS is focused on providing practical, professional, precise language solutions for every client.
